Iowa’s youth wrestling season reaches its biggest stage on January 11, 2026, as the 2026 Iowa/USA Wrestling Kids Folkstyle State Championships take over the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena in Cedar Rapids.

For athletes in 3rd–8th grade, this tournament represents a state championship experience: elite competition, state-level awards, and the opportunity to test yourself against the best from across Iowa.

The Kids Folkstyle State Championships are where Iowa’s next generation of wrestlers earn their stripes. With double-elimination brackets, official USA Wrestling seeding, and medals awarded to the top eight finishers, this event delivers a true championship environment from start to finish.
