Junior men’s freestyle ends Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m., as the nation’s best battle for national titles and All-American honors.
The finals have been set, after a great day of action with round of 16, quarterfinals and semifinals all on the same day.

Notes:
* Cassioppi is attempting to win a second Junior Triple Crown, after taking USA Wrestling nationals in all three styles last year as a junior. Only Michigan’s Adam Coon has won two Junior Triple Crowns. He faces a tough finals against 2017 Cadet National champion Nash Hutmacher of South Dakota. Cassioppi beat Hutmacher, 3-1, in the finals at the Junior Folkstyle Nationals
* The finals at 106 features a pair of 2017 Junior National champions, freestyle champion Wil Guida of New Jersey against Greco-Roman champion Anthony King of Illinois. There were four 2017 Junior freestyle champions in the field, but only Guida and Cassioppi survived to make the finals.
* West Fargo’s own Jared Franek will be in the finals at 160 pounds, where the Team North Dakota star will battle Danny Braunagel of Illinois.
* Defending team champion Illinois will run away with the Junior freestyle team title, with eight in the finals and another 12 in the consis, holding a safe lead over a strong Ohio, with four in the finals and nine in the consis.
