The United States has sent a men’s freestyle team to compete this weekend at the Intercontinential Cup in Russia, October 17-18. The team features three past former World Team members and two wrestlers with ties to the state of Iowa.

One of those wrestlers is 125 kg competitor Bobby Telford, who will be making his first Senior level appearance at the Cup. Telford announced on IA Wrestle that he would be pursuing his Olympic career with the Hawkeye Wrestling Club after finishing up his career as a three-time All-American under Tom Brands at Iowa.
